This year's financial planning workshop will be hosted by Dominique Broadway. Read her story below:

My Story
Ever since I was a teenager I wanted to be a Financial Planner! I know, that is really rare. I was always intrigued by money, how it works, the most efficient ways to earn it and most importantly how to save it. I was the kid that was constantly starting new businesses from selling hand made beaded bracelets, to being the Vice President of my dad’s vending machine company at 13 years old to becoming the Chief Operating Officer of a friends company that taught children how to use computer software at the age of 15! When I wasn’t running businesses I was learning about ways to make my money grow, the ins and outs of the stock market and often giving financial advice to my friends as they thought I always had money, so I must know a thing or two about it!
Aha Moment
After college, I begin working for a major brokerage firm that focused on high-net worth individuals. It was truly an amazing opportunity to see how the super wealthy spent their money and various tactics that were used to create legacy’s for their children and grandchildren. While working at this firm and a few other financial planning firms, I noticed one thing in common…..they only focused on people with a certain amount of assets. So what about the people that didn’t have $100,000 yet…I actually saw them getting turned away, who was helping them? That’s when I determined my passion in life.
Ever since that moment, I have focused my practice on educating others about personal finance and how to bring their Dreams2Reality. Although I work with clients of all backgrounds; I have a strong passion for working with young professionals, creative professionals, entrepreneurs and new families as these are often the individuals that need just a little guidance to get them on their way and they aren’t millionaires…..yet!
Finances De•mys•ti•fied
In 2012, I was able to bring one of my Dreams2Reality by launching my Finances De•mys•ti•fied Happy Hour Series. The purpose of these events are to provoke the conversation of money amongst individuals, while educating attendees with a sprinkle of financial knowledge over money themed cocktails. This “Social Money Movement“, will help to demystify the very taboo conversation of money.
I would love to help you bring your Dreams2Reality and I hope to see you join in the “Social Money Movement“!
